The Tenth Episcopal District gathered in Fort Worth, Texas, November 13–15 for a powerful and Spirit-filled Planning Meeting, graciously hosted by Baker Chapel AME Church. Over three days, clergy, laity, young adults, and ministry leaders came together for worship, fellowship, training, and renewal—uniting in purpose as we prepare for the work ahead in 2026.
Thursday Night: Worship Kickoff — The RAYAC Remix
The Planning Meeting opened on Thursday evening with the highly anticipated RAYAC Remix, our dynamic young adult-centered worship experience. Under the leadership of Rev. Anjeanette Tyson, Tenth District RAYAC President, the service set an energetic and uplifting tone for the days to come.
Rev. Tyson delivered a transformative Word that resonated deeply with the young adults and the entire congregation, reminding us of the importance of staying rooted in faith while stepping boldly into our calling.
Friday Worship: A Word from the 6th Episcopal District
On Friday, the worship experience continued with a powerful message from Bishop Michael L. Mitchell, Presiding Prelate of the Sixth Episcopal District. Bishop Mitchell’s preaching challenged and inspired attendees to remain steadfast, focused, and spiritually aligned as we prepare for the work God has assigned to us in the new conference year.
Saturday Closing Worship: A Charge from Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie
To close the Planning Meeting, the Tenth District was honored to receive a stirring and empowering message from retired Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie. Her prophetic and insightful Word encouraged the congregation to lead with courage, serve with conviction, and remain anchored in God’s promises as the church moves forward.
Her presence and leadership brought a meaningful and memorable close to our time together.
A Spirit of Excellence and Unity
Throughout the Planning Meeting, Baker Chapel AME Church served as a gracious host, ensuring that every worship service, workshop, and gathering was conducted with excellence. Attendees left spiritually renewed, energized, and equipped to continue the mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church across the Tenth Episcopal District.
