AMEC CHURCH SCHOOL
Founded in 1882 by Charles S. Smith, the AMEC Sunday School Union has long provided African Methodists with a comprehensive Sunday School curriculum. Today, we continue this mission by creating and promoting impactful, life-transforming curriculum and worship materials for Christians of all ages.

THE CHRISTIAN RECORDER
Founded before the Civil War, The Christian Recorder is the oldest continuously published periodical by African Americans in the United States. Its roots go back to The Christian Herald, established by the General Conference in 1848 in Philadelphia. Today, The Christian Recorder continues to serve the African Methodist Episcopal Church, reaching local communities and 39 countries across five continents, with a strong presence both in print and online.
CHURCH GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT
For over 25 years, the Department of Church Growth and Development has trained AME clergy and laity in evangelism and discipleship to foster spiritual and numerical growth. We assist in leading individuals to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior through the Holy Spirit's guidance. Collaborating with District Committees of Evangelism, we enhance evangelistic standards at local, district, and connectional levels.
